Purchase price collection

Explanations:

In addition to issuing market value appraisals, the expert committee also maintains a collection of purchase prices as another important task.

In order to maintain a collection of purchase prices in accordance with Section 195 of the German Building Code, a copy of every contract concluded for the purpose of property transfer (e.g. purchase, gift, exchange, transfer) is sent to the expert committee by the notarising body (notary).

These contracts are recorded and analysed anonymously in the purchase price collection. However, it is often not possible to extract the actual value characteristics from the purchase contracts that are required for a professional evaluation. The contents of the purchase contracts must therefore be supplemented by the office with other necessary value-influencing data (e.g. living space, year of construction, fittings and rents). For this purpose, the office of the expert committee collects additional data by means of questionnaires. To this end, the expert committee relies on the support of the property owners/buyers.

The management of the purchase price collection is subject to strict data protection regulations.

Information from the purchase price collection

According to § 13 of the Expert Committee Ordinance, the

1. authorities and public bodies as well as publicly appointed and sworn, court-appointed or DIN EN ISO/TEC 17024-certified experts in individual cases upon written request. The information may only be provided for specific properties. The name and address of the owner may not be disclosed. The recipient may only use the transmitted data for the purpose for which it was transmitted to him.
2. In accordance with paragraph 1, other bodies and persons shall only be provided with information that does not allow conclusions to be drawn about the owner (= anonymised information).
