Masterplan 100% climate protection
From 2012, the Federal Ministry for the Environment supported 19 selected municipalities and districts with the "100% Climate Protection Masterplan" as part of the "National Climate Protection Initiative".
Through the "100% Climate Protection Masterplan", the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve provided important impetus for sustainable regional promotion in terms of climate protection with the project "Land creates climate protection - climate protection in the context of urban-rural interdependencies using the example of the UNESCO Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve".
Building on previous climate protection activities, a holistic concept has been developed that addresses the aspects of climate protection and resource conservation as well as the areas of renewable energies, energy-efficient building refurbishment and energy management.
