Electric service vehicles
The Saarpfalz district's company vehicles are gradually being converted to emission-free drive systems. This changeover is intended to reduce the emissions of the vehicle fleet, as is the aim in other sectors, e.g. the climate-neutral building stock.
Six electric vehicles were purchased in 2024. These were subsidised by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport via the electric mobility funding guideline.
The vehicles are used by employees of the job centre, the district administration and the youth welfare office for business trips.
At the same time, charging infrastructure was also set up, some of which was funded by the EU's ZENAPA project.
