Guidelines for sustainable business parks in the Saarpfalz district
The Saarpfalz district, much of which coincides with the Bliesgau biosphere , is known for its natural diversity and sustainability endeavours.
The demand for commercial sites, especially from local companies, remains high. The Saarpfalz district therefore offers unique opportunities to develop business parks that fulfil both the ecological requirements of the biosphere and the needs of the regional economy.
The creation of such sustainable business parks in the biosphere is not only an opportunity for local companies, but also an important step towards preserving and promoting the character and values of the Saarpfalz district and the Bliesgau biosphere.
As part of the EU project ZENAPA, two guidelines are being developed with the Saarpfalz Economic Development Agency as a partner.
Guide no.1
The first guideline serves as an orientation aid for the administrations themselves, but also for the heads of administration and political decision-makers as well as the stakeholders involved in environmental and climate protection for the development of new business parks that are both ecologically responsible and economically attractive.
Guide no. 2
The second guideline is intended for companies and their planners. It looks at the three dimensions of sustainability in order to position companies for the future. Roughly translated, these are economic success taking into account ecological and social aspects. The result is sustainable companies that take ecology, but also the environment and employee satisfaction into account.
Guide No. 2 is structured as a practical "workbook" to support entrepreneurs throughout the planning phase and provide decision-making aids.
