(due to unusability, loss or theft of old vehicle licence / registration certificate part I)
Your vehicle registration certificate or registration certificate part I is illegible, you have lost it or it has been stolen.

Which documents are required?
- valid identity card with current address or current registration confirmation or valid passport with current registration confirmation
- for legal entities and companies: Extract from the commercial register, business registration, ID of the person authorised to sign (managing director, authorised signatory)
- Authorisation for authorised representatives and their ID or passport (also applies to spouses) only if the vehicle registration document is illegible or with a theft report (no loss)
- For minors: Submission of the notice of loss/assurance in lieu of an oath by the legal guardian (only in the event of loss)
- Registration certificate part II or old vehicle registration document, registration certificate part I or old vehicle registration document, operating licence if applicable
- Old vehicle registration document (only if no registration certificate Part I has been issued)
- Certificate of valid general inspection
- report the theft to the police
Important: If the vehicle licence is lost, the registered keeper must appear in person!
