Photovoltaic systems and battery storage
Generating electricity yourself and, ideally, using it directly on site is not only climate protection in practice, it also reduces the burden on the electricity grids.
Since 2000, 17 systems have been put into operation.
In 2023, a solar carport was built in front of the district administration in Homburg together with public charging points.
Numerous other plants, some with storage facilities, are currently being planned, built or commissioned.
In the following systems, the self-generated electricity is utilised directly in the building, stored or used for heating:
- PV system / solar carport at the district administration (2022)
- PV system BBZ St. Ingbert (2024)
