Water dispensers in the schools of the Saarpfalz district
In order to provide a free supply of drinking water, the Saarpfalz district began installing drinking water dispensers in the district's own schools several years ago.
In the summer months in particular, the pupils are thus supplied with directly accessible drinking water during the increasingly hot periods.
Since 2023, these have been subsidised via the utilities as part of the Sustainable Water Management funding guideline.
Further water dispensers were therefore installed in 2024 and 2025 with the support of Stadtwerke Homburg and Biosphärenstadtwerke Bliestal & St. Ingbert .
Over the next few years, further water dispensers will be installed as required.
