International Museum Alliance

On 12 May 2023, a museum alliance was founded between four museums from the partner regions as part of Europe Week. One mining museum each from France, Ukraine and Saarland and an oil and gas industry museum from Poland have committed to working together. The aim is to keep alive the memory of the shared past of mining and the oil and gas industry and to supplement the educational mission of schools with a wide range of educational co-operation projects. Museum representations of everyday mining life are to be used as a mouthpiece to raise awareness of ethical problems such as racism, violence or social oppression and to vividly convey the values of solidarity and cohesion.
