On 1 September 2023, a biosphere summit was held in the partner district of Lubaczów with the Polish and Ukrainian alliance partners. The declaration "Biosphere reserves as an opportunity for the development of European regions" was signed there, which laid the foundation for long-term tri-national cooperation in favour of humanitarian support for the Ukrainian partner districts in the current situation and in economic reconstruction. The sustainable development of the participating regions in a way that conserves natural resources will be a central element of the joint commitment.
