"Declaration on support for economic development in the Polish-Ukrainian border region"
The alliance partners are particularly keen to support Ukraine in the difficult war situation. In close coordination with the Ukrainian and Polish partners, who have been working tirelessly to provide aid directly to the people on the ground in the affected regions and border areas, a wide range of assistance has been provided since the outbreak of the war (e.g. healthcare materials, technical equipment, contacts, etc.). The joint measures taken not only serve to alleviate the acute suffering of the population, but are also intended to open up targeted prospects for post-war reconstruction and thus strengthen Ukraine's status as an EU accession candidate. With this in mind, a declaration on the joint development of the socio-economic potential of the border regions of Poland and Ukraine was signed on 1 September 2022 during the 1st International Economic Conference in Lubaczów.
