Dental health for children and adolescents
Service description
All primary and special needs pupils in the district are given an annual dental check-up at school as part of the group prophylaxis programme.
The children are examined in a separate room in the school using individually wrapped disposable mouth mirrors. Parents are informed in writing whether a visit to the dentist or orthodontist is recommended.
Our test results are analysed anonymously and forwarded to the ministry for nationwide health reporting
