Service description
The organisation of collections, the proceeds of which are made available to charitable and benevolent purposes, is subject to authorisation.
The district police authority is responsible for issuing licences for collections that extend over several municipalities in the Saarpfalz district. For collections that are limited to the area of one municipality, the mayor is the authorising authority.
Authorisation may be granted subject to conditions relating to the method of collection and its monitoring, the use of the collection proceeds, the amount of expenses, the protection of young collectors and the auditing of accounts.
Collections that serve purely commercial purposes are not subject to authorisation.
Which documents are required?
The application must contain:
- the purpose of the collection
- the collection period
- the collection area
- the type of collection and
- a more detailed description of their implementation.
