Socio-educational family support (SPFH)
Service description
Socio-educational family support is a professional support service offered by the youth welfare office. Based on §31 SGB VIII, it is an outpatient form of educational support for the entire family and is granted upon application by the custodians. The goals are set jointly by all those involved in the support process.
Socio-educational family support is intended to help families with their parenting tasks, in coping with everyday problems, resolving conflicts/crises and in contact with authorities and institutions. It is an intensive form of support with the aim of helping families to help themselves.
In addition, there are also various group programmes as part of the socio-pedagogical family support, such as children's and youth groups, parent-child groups and much more.
