Service description
(allocation of new licence plates in the event of loss, theft or on request)
Have you lost one or both licence plates or have they been stolen? Then a new licence plate must be issued.

Which documents are required?
- valid identity card with current address or current registration confirmation or valid passport with current registration confirmation
- for legal entities and companies: Extract from the commercial register, business registration, ID of the person authorised to sign (managing director, authorised signatory)
- Power of attorney for authorised representatives and their ID or passport (also applies to spouses)
- For minors: Declaration of consent from the parent or legal guardian and driving licence or severely disabled person's pass
- Registration certificate part II or old vehicle registration document, registration certificate part I or old vehicle registration document, operating licence if applicable
- The existing licence plate number; if desired, the previous licence plates
- Certificates of valid main inspection
- report the theft to the police
- Declaration of loss required in case of loss
Please note: Further documents and records may be required in individual cases.
What fees are charged?
Any fees incurred are charged on the basis of the Fee Regulations for Road Traffic Measures (GebOst).
