Which documents are required?
- valid identity card with current address or current confirmation of registration or valid passport with current confirmation of registration; if applicable, certificate in case of name change
- for legal entities and companies: Extract from the commercial register, business registration, ID of the person authorised to sign (managing director, authorised signatory)
- Registration certificate part II or old vehicle registration document (must be presented when changing the name)
- Registration certificate part I or old vehicle registration document
- Certificate of valid general inspection

What fees are charged?
Any fees incurred are charged on the basis of the Fee Regulations for Road Traffic Measures (GebOst).
