You want to permanently or provisionally deregister a vehicle.

Which documents are required?
- Registration certificate part I or old vehicle registration certificate, operating licence if applicable
- the licence plate(s) (report to the police in the event of theft)
Important: If vehicle documents have been lost, the registered keeper must appear in person with an identity card/passport, registration certificate part II or old vehicle registration document and make a declaration in lieu of an oath.
In the case of foreign licence plates, the affidavit must be submitted to the licence plate authority.
Please note: Further documents and records may be required in individual cases.
What fees are charged?
Any fees incurred are charged on the basis of the Fee Regulations for Road Traffic Measures (GebOst).
