The creative workshops offer a varied range of themes, taking participants on a journey through time to the world of the Celts and Romans – from pottery-making, baking, gathering plants and creating plant prints, through to basket-weaving, right up to ‘Playing like the Romans’ or ‘Training like Gallic warriors’. Following in the footsteps of the Gallic warriors, participants develop courage, dexterity and physical agility. In the summer workshop ‘The Art of Fresco Painting’, participants learn how the colourful wall paintings of antiquity were created. They are introduced to traditional painting techniques and create their own work of art.
The summer workshops take place during the week from Monday to Friday, daily from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm, and as special events at the weekend. Whether young or old – this series of events has exciting activities in store for the whole family. Advance booking is not essential. A parent or guardian should accompany the children. The workshops are bilingual and take place partly on the French side and partly on the German side of the park. Meeting point: Maison Jean-Schaub park entrance in Reinheim or the Bliesbruck Exhibition Centre
