The tour takes into account the specific needs of this group, such as walking at a slower pace, speaking more loudly and taking short breaks. In hot weather or rain, we have umbrellas available for you to borrow. The guided tour includes the museum at the Maison Jean Schaub, featuring prehistoric and early historic finds from the region; the Celtic princess’s tomb, with this year’s special exhibition ‘Gold in the Sand’; and the excavations of the Roman palace villa. This route is accessible and suitable for walkers and wheelchairs.
Afterwards, you can pop into the tavern and round off your eventful day in a relaxed atmosphere. The tavern is open from 12 noon to 10 pm and offers everything from coffee, cake and ice cream to hearty meals and Bliesgau beer.
The guided tour itself is free of charge; you only need to pay the reduced admission fee of 3.50 euros to enter the museums. The meeting point is at Maison Jean Schaub, Robert-Schumann-Str. 2, 66453 Reinheim. Please register for the guided tours by calling 06843 9002-11. A minimum number of participants is required. Registration is open until Friday 28 August at 12 noon.
