About the content: Childhood and memories are key to one’s own personality and interpersonal relationships. Hans Bollinger sets out to find these keys in his childhood. The setting for his stories is his home village of Wörschweiler in the tranquil Saarpfalz region. Here, the members of a village community still reeling from the Nazi dictatorship seek their way between tradition and a new beginning.
Hans Bollinger recounts his story in a multifaceted and effortless manner, in an almost cheerful tone, driven by his love for his homeland, and opens up to his audience about his innermost experiences and his soul. The retired headteacher and musician has lived with his wife for many years in a 350-year-old farmhouse in the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve.
