The excursion will be led by Dr Dieter Dorda, a qualified geographer, author of several works on nature conservation and landscape ecology, and co-editor of the publication *Der Bliesgau: Nature and Landscape in South-East Saarland*. The participation fee is 6 euros per person.
Grasshoppers are the singers of the summer. On the wildlife excursion, the various species are identified both visually, based on morphological characteristics, and acoustically. The latter offers an unrivalled experience, particularly on warm summer evenings. Another key focus of the excursion is the topic of ‘global warming’ and the influx of heat-loving animal species.
