The Mundartring Saar brings together numerous writers who compose poems and stories in their Rhine and Moselle Franconian dialects – published in the quarterly magazine *Mundartpost*. Fifteen years ago, the best pieces were published in *Wäär gaggerd, muss ach lee’e*. In 2026, the anthology, featuring 120 selected pieces by 60 authors, is to be titled *Gradselääds!*.
At the ‘Dialect Evening’, guests can look forward to an entertaining 90-minute programme featuring readings in various dialects, musical interludes and a talk on dialects in the Saarland. The evening will be opened by District Administrator Frank John.
The event will take place on Wednesday 19 August at 5.30 pm in the Main Conference Room, Parliamentary Wing of the City and District Administration, Am Forum 5, in Homburg. Admission is free.
