As part of the special exhibition "Gold in the Sand" in the Princess’s Tomb at Bliesbruck-Reinheim Cultural Park, Celtic groups will be offering from 10 am to 6 pm on both days, an insight into the era of the Princess of Reinheim around 400 BC.
This weekend, visitors will be able to explore clothing, jewellery, diet and crafts. There will also be engaging live craft demonstrations, such as bronze casting (weather permitting), archery and textile dyeing. There is much to learn about the traditional dress and material culture of the Iron Age, with a focus on the jewellery worn by Iron Age women in the wider region. A small but impressive fashion show demonstrates how people dressed at that time. What did the Celts eat? A display table on the Celtic diet and a cooking area will answer this question.
