The Saarpfalz District Women’s Office is once again offering drumming courses for beginners. The next courses will take place from Monday 10 August 2026 and on nine further Mondays from 6.45 pm to 7.45 pm (beginners with some prior experience/advanced participants) and from 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm (beginners). The venue is Café Frauenzimmer, Scheffelplatz 1 in Homburg, and the course is led by rhythm teacher Nicole Schweitzer ( www.groove-prinzip.de).
The course focuses on building on simple or more complex rhythms from Africa and Brazil, played together as a group. Through rhythm games, body percussion, vocalisation and movement, participants will learn new arrangements and practise their playing techniques. Absolute beginners who have never played an instrument before are also very welcome.
The course fee is 115.00 euros / 87.00 euros (concessionary rate).
