From 1 July, the numbers for the ALT routes 546 (Homburg – Lappentascherhof – Kleinottweiler), 548 (Bexbach – Kleinottweiler) and 566 (Bexbach – Frankenholz – Münchwies) will be brought into line with the existing district-wide standard. With the switch to the central telephone number 06841 104-7252, the booking system will be standardised across the entire district from the effective date. Nothing will change for passengers, apart from the telephone number used to book journeys. Incoming calls to the central number are answered by a call centre staffed daily. Staff coordinate the bookings and forward the journey requests directly to the relevant taxi companies. This procedure is already in place in the rest of the district and is now being extended to the routes mentioned.
The usual 60-minute lead time before departure for booking the relevant ALT journeys remains in place. Bookings can be made up to 14 days in advance. The Saarpfalz district asks passengers on the affected routes to use only the central telephone number from 1 July onwards.
