The Supervisory Board of Kreiskrankenhaus St. Ingbert GmbH has decided to extend the managing director's contract for a further five years. With this decision, the Saarpfalz district, as the responsible body, is sending a clear signal in favour of stability, reliability and long-term inpatient healthcare under municipal responsibility.
In an increasingly challenging healthcare policy environment - characterised by hospital reforms, a shortage of specialist staff and financial pressures - reliable and experienced management is of central importance. In recent years, the Managing Director has led the St. Ingbert District Hospital with a high level of professional expertise and a great sense of responsibility and has made a significant contribution to the strategic development of the hospital.
"The St. Ingbert district hospital is an indispensable part of public services in the Saarpfalz district," emphasises Supervisory Board Chairman and District Administrator Frank John, "by extending the contract, we are ensuring that the hospital will continue to be managed stably in the future and can actively meet the challenges of hospital policy at state and federal level."
The Saarpfalz district is expressly committed to maintaining and strengthening the district hospital as a local, efficient and municipally supported healthcare provider. The continuation of the management creates the necessary planning security to consistently implement necessary structural developments, investments and medical specialisations.
"The Supervisory Board's decision is also a mandate to continue on the path of consolidation and implementation of the adopted future concept," says Managing Director Peter Zwirner. "The focus is on the patients as well as all employees who make an indispensable contribution to healthcare on a daily basis."
By extending the contract, the Saarpfalz district emphasises its political will to assume responsibility for inpatient care in the region and to make the St. Ingbert district hospital fit for the future.
