Looking forward to the holiday season: adults and children can get creative again during the summer holidays. The district adult education centre invites you to the summer academy in Wittersheim from 27 to 31 July. In and around the Haus Lochfeld Nature Landscape Centre, participants can try out art in a variety of forms, discover new things and develop techniques they have already learned.
"The summer academy has become an integral part of the programme of our district adult education centre and the holiday season. I am particularly pleased that the children's academy will be taking place again this year, also over five days at Haus Lochfeld. There are still places available and all children are welcome to spend exciting and entertaining days together," invites District Administrator Frank John.
Children and young people can look forward to various workshops in and with nature. The materials used include natural materials such as pieces of wood or wool, which can be used imaginatively in object art in particular. The instructors are Rose Vöhringer (artist, fashion designer, art therapist) and Barbara Hilgers (sculptor, theatre educator)
Demand for the adult courses is also very high this year. However, you can still register for the "Basics of Drawing" workshop, for example, where Clara Hanzal teaches participants to look closely and then put what they see on paper. They work with pencil, charcoal or multi-coloured chalks, for example. Clara Hanzal knows how to inspire enthusiasm for the special features of the materials.
Sculptor and freelance artist Michael Hussmann invites anyone interested in "stone and wood sculpting" to take part in his creative class. It is important to the experienced instructor to support the participants individually according to their manual and creative skills. Places can still be booked on this course.
