Coordination for sustainable youth work in the Saarpfalz district

Since 2020, the Saarpfalz district has been working together with the Bliesgau Biosphere Association to get young people and young adults interested in ecological and sustainable topics and to strengthen their co-determination and participation in local communities and the district with the "Young Biosphere" project. Information on projects and events organised to date can be found at www.junge-biosphaere.de.

Young people who are interested in the environment, climate protection and sustainability can get involved in the "Young Biosphere" and come together. They have the opportunity to carry out small projects with our help or to take part in the planning of events or workshops as members of an input group. The "Young Biosphere" relies on the ideas of young people and what they would like to see in their local area so that it remains attractive for young people.
Whether you want to organise a swap party, create flowering areas for insects in the village or build a raised bed in front of the youth club - we look forward to sustainable ideas! Of course, young people can be active and responsible for realising their own project ideas - but they can also get help and support from us at any time.

One project of the Young Biosphere is the "Spohn's House Garden Project", in which the educational garden of the school hostel in Gersheim was redesigned (please click on the magnifying glass symbol to view the images).
