Heat warnings
In order to prepare yourself and others for heat events, it is therefore important to stay informed about heat protection options and the current weather situation.
The German Weather Service (DWD) publishes heat warnings and 5-day heat trends for this purpose, which you can view on the DWD website or receive automatically via newsletter or app.
Heat warning level 1 (high heat load)
The perceived temperature in the early afternoon is around 32°C or higher
Heat warning level 2 (extreme heat load)
The perceived temperature in the early afternoon is around 38°C or higher
