Women's Office

Since 1988, the Saarpfalz District Women's Office has represented the interests of women from the entire Saarpfalz district as well as within the district administration and has a wide range of tasks. It is home to projects and interdisciplinary working groups that focus on women's problems, search for solutions and network services.

The women's office of the Saarpfalz district would like to improve the social and professional situation of women and offers, among other things

• Counselling services for women
• Versatile events
• Vocational training and re-entry programmes
• Networking opportunities for women and women's organisations
• Low-threshold language courses and official German courses on behalf of the BAMF

The Saarpfalz District Women's Office is responsible for ensuring equal opportunities for female employees within the district administration. This means that the Women's Office is involved in, among other things

• Appointments and promotions
• the professional re-entry
• the realisation of part-time wishes
• Problems of reconciling family and career
• Assessment procedure
• Complaint enquiries
• Cancellations
• the preparation of the Saarpfalz district's plan for the advancement of women
• the development and implementation of training programmes
