Mentoring - what is it actually?

Mentoring is a process in which a mentor supports the career and personal development of a mentee.

The mentoring programme of the Women & Career Coordination Office was established in 2004 on the initiative of the Saarpfalz District Women's Office in cooperation with Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Saarpfalz mbH, the Saarland Employment Agency and the Saarpfalz Job Centre. Since then, the particular aim of the programme has been to promote women in all areas and at all hierarchical levels.

In the programme, the mentee is supported for eight months by a person who passes on their knowledge and experience and is available for a personal exchange and discussion.
