International Alliance for Peace and Cohesion in Europe


The "International Alliance for Peace and Cohesion in Europe", also known as the "Homburg Alliance", was formed on the initiative of District Administrator Dr Theophil Gallo on 4 July 2022 with numerous Polish and Ukrainian districts as well as other partners of the Saarpfalz district from France, the USA and Germany. At the heart of the alliance is the jointly agreed mission to make a communal contribution to securing peace and creating sustainable cohesion in Europe by actively strengthening participation and cross-border encounters. The main objective is to promote the ideas of a united Europe and the Weimar Triangle with Ukraine in the participating regions and to provide food for thought and action for future coexistence in Europe through a wide range of partnership projects.

Alliance partner

The alliance partners bring the agreements of the "International Alliance" to life by developing joint cross-border projects.

The work of the alliance partners is supported by various committees and associations that facilitate the joint representation of interests and contribute to the visibility of the alliance.

Milestones

Thanks to the drive of the alliance partners and their good networking among each other, it was possible to rapidly expand the alliance activities and to stabilise them within the framework of further cooperation and target agreements.
