25 years as Chairman of the St. Ingbert District Choir Association

District Administrator Dr Theophil Gallo personally congratulated Werner Zeitz on his 25th anniversary as Chairman of the KreisChorVerband St. Ingbert and his appointment as an honorary member. The 69-year-old Biesinger and his wife Erika were happy to accept the invitation to the district administration office after the district administrator was unable to attend the district choir association's New Year's reception, which included honours.

Werner Zeitz is at the head of a small but active association that is not only very active in the Saarpfalz district. The chairman is a source of ideas and motivation for numerous events and concerts. Werner Zeitz is also a networker who knows how to bring people together, especially in cultural life. With over 60 years of experience as a singer, he has dedicated himself not least to promoting young musical talent. The nationwide initiative "Die Carusos", this year's "Day of Song" on 21 June in collaboration with the town of St. Ingbert and the Saarland Choir Festival were also discussed at the meeting.

"Werner Zeitz's tireless commitment to voluntary work, which he has shown for decades, deserves every respect. What he has done and continues to do for choral music, choral life and the choirs in our district is a priceless gift to the community. His ongoing work in the "Carusos" programme in kindergartens, where he teaches the youngest children the positive effects of singing, is also remarkable. Everything he does is characterised by dedication and passion," praised District Administrator Dr Theophil Gallo and presented Werner Zeitz with a certificate and the Saarpfalz district coat of arms as a pin for his special services. The jubilarian immediately pinned this to his lapel, not far from the Federal Cross of Merit pin with which he was honoured ten years ago. The district administrator's thanks also went to Erika Zeitz, who has supported her husband's commitment from the very beginning.
