While Frank John had already been presented with his certificate of appointment by former District Administrator Dr Theophil Gallo on 27 May, the new District Administrator finally took the oath of office as the 16th successor to Philipp Jakob Siebenpfeiffer on 2 June. This formal act was carried out by the First District Councillor Markus Schaller as his superior in the District Office.
Raising his right hand, District Administrator Frank John administered the following oath to the First District Councillor: "I swear that I will observe and comply with the Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Constitution of the Saarland and the laws, that I will administer the office entrusted to me fairly and impartially and that I will fulfil my official duties conscientiously, so help me God."
Markus Schaller then congratulated him once again on behalf of the district council and the employees and wished him a happy hand in all decisions for the good of the district. Stefan Munz, Head of the District Administrator's Office, and Christian Janishek, Head of Human Resources, Internal Services, also echoed the warm words of the First District Councillor.
District Administrator Frank John assured:
"I am very much looking forward to the tasks ahead and want to master them conscientiously through my responsible commitment together with the employees and find good solutions even in very challenging matters. I want to do everything I can to promote the community, cohesion and positive development in the Saarpfalz district."
