Sewing workshop for young designers

From Wednesday 19 March, the Saarpfalz-Kreis Adult Education Centre is offering a sewing course for children and young people aged 12 and over at the Geschwister-Scholl-Schule in Blieskastel. The course comprises four sessions, each from 16:30 to 18:30.

In this course, course leader Juliana Rabel shows children and young people step by step how they can conjure up something unique from fabric and yarn - a cool carrier bag, a practical gym bag or a stylish tablet cover. Together, they cut out fabrics, mark them out and sew their own personal favourites. The children learn how to use a sewing machine and how to use it creatively. At the end, participants can take home a home-made accessory that is not only practical but also looks really cool. What to bring: Fabric, scissors, pins and tailor's chalk (if available). The participation fee is 30 euros.

Registration is required for all KVHS courses and lectures. For further information on course times and locations as well as registration, please call 06842 9243-10 or visit www.kvhs-saarpfalz.de.
