Installation of pedestrian traffic lights in Ormesheim

After the Saarpfalz district traffic authority ordered the installation of pedestrian traffic lights in Ormesheim, the State Road Construction Agency (LfS) has now announced the start of construction for 4 November. The traffic lights will be installed on the L237 at Adenauerstraße 123-127 near the retirement home. Subject to suitable weather conditions, the work should be completed by 22 November.

"The pedestrian traffic lights are a necessary element of traffic safety on the busy country road. In addition to the retirement home, the school and daycare centre are also not far away. The pedestrian lights make crossing Adenauerstraße safer for everyone on their way there," emphasises District Administrator Dr Theophil Gallo.

The state road construction authority (LfS) has announced that the work will be carried out under full road closure. The diversion will be via the B 423 to Aßweiler and then via the L 107 through Ommersheim back to Ormesheim. The opposite direction will be reversed. The LfS recommends that road users pay attention to the traffic reports, take possible disruptions into account when planning their route and allow sufficient travelling time for the diversion route.
