The youth welfare service of the Saarpfalz district in cooperation with the youth welfare services of the towns of Bexbach, Blieskastel, Homburg and St. Ingbert and the municipality of Kirkel are offering a canoe trip on the Blies for children and young people at the beginning of the summer holidays on Wednesday 17 July.
The beautiful Bliesgau biosphere reserve invites you to go on an adventure on the Blies. The river ecosystem is home to many native animals such as grey herons, beavers and kingfishers, and the lush flora also has plenty to offer.
Under the guidance of experienced guides, participants discover the flora and fauna in the centre of the beautiful Saar region.
The day trip is for children aged 12 and over, the participation fee is 15 euros. The group meets and starts at 9.45 a.m. in Bliesbruck, the tour ends at around 4 p.m. in Blies-Schweyen. It should also be noted that children and young people must be able to swim in order to take part.
Youth education trip to Vienna
A youth education trip to Vienna takes place in the first week of the autumn holidays. Beautifully situated on the Danube, the Austrian capital not only impresses as a cultural and political metropolis. Vienna has already been voted the most liveable city in the world several times.
The programme includes a city tour, the Vienna State Opera, a boat trip on the Danube, the Hofburg Palace and much more.
The group trip for young people aged 14 and over starts on 14 October by train from Homburg. The return journey is on Friday evening, 18 October. The cost contribution is 320 euros, including half board, all entrance fees and guided tours.
