On Sunday 31 March and Monday 1 April, the European Cultural Park will be holding an Easter campaign. Colourful wooden Easter eggs will be hidden in the Maison Jean Schaub, in the exhibition rooms above the tavern, in the Princess's Tomb and in the new buildings B8 and B10. The Easter bunny has also been busy handing out eggs in the museums on the French side of the park. Visitors to the park can go in search of the eggs. If they find the right number of eggs, there will be a little surprise for all explorers at the ticket offices in the Fürstinnengrab, the Maison Jean Schaub or the exhibition centre in Bliesbruck.
A week later, on Saturday 6 April, a guided tour for senior citizens will be offered from 2 to 4 pm, which is specially tailored to their needs, such as walking slowly and speaking louder.
The tour includes the Maison Jean Schaub with prehistoric and early historical artefacts from the region, the Celtic princely tomb and the excavations of the Roman palace villa with its museum in B6.
Please register by Thursday, 4 April by calling (06843) 900211. A minimum number of participants is required. The tour itself is free of charge, only the reduced entrance fee of 3.50 euros is payable. The meeting point is at the Museum Maison Jean Schaub.
The Roman tavern in the European Cultural Park is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12 noon to 6 pm, Monday is a day off. Anyone interested can reserve their place in advance by calling (06843) 9999442, making the tavern the perfect opportunity to round off an eventful day in the European Cultural Park at the above-mentioned time.
