Reopening after flooding: Gradual opening of the museum areas in the Bliesbruck-Reinheim European Cultural Park

Following the severe damage caused by the floods, the Bliesbruck-Reinheim European Cultural Park has announced the gradual reopening of the park. The Maison Jean Schaub building will be open to visitors again from Friday 26 July.

A special area has been set up in the Maison Jean Schaub Museum for this purpose. The artefacts from the Princess's Tomb are presented here. The princess's tomb remains closed due to ongoing construction work, but the most important artefacts, such as the tubular jug and jewellery, can now be viewed at the Maison Jean Schaub.

In the coming weeks, intensive maintenance and construction work will be carried out on the outdoor area to restore the access paths at the gatehouse, among other things. These measures are also of great importance in view of the upcoming Vita Romana event on the weekend of 10 and 11 August. In addition, work is being carried out at full speed on the renovation of the tavern, which was also severely damaged by the floods. The aim is to reopen the tavern to guests as soon as possible and also to make the museum on the upper floor accessible again. The opening date will be communicated in due course via the media and the Kulturpark website, www.europäischer-kulturpark.de.

The European Cultural Park Bliesbruck-Reinheim would like to thank all visitors and supporters for their patience.

Guided tours and modules can still be booked. If you are interested, the staff can be contacted by email at [email protected] or by phone on (06843) 900211.

Please note that there are no barrier-free toilets available on the German side of the park for the time being.

Opening hours:

Monday to Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
