Logistics centre affected by heavy rain

The Lower Building Inspectorate in the Saarpfalz district was called to a logistics centre in Bexbach on the morning of 3 January. The reason: it had been noticed that the roof of an associated warehouse, in which lorries are loaded with parcels, had sagged by around 30 centimetres due to the persistent rainfall and possibly blocked drainage channels. The Homburg police, the fire brigade and the THW are/were also on site. Measures were taken to relieve the ceiling, including pumping water from the roof.

The Lower Building Supervisory Authority has informed us that the building can currently be entered. It is therefore not necessary to issue a prohibition of use for the time being. The warehouse must be renovated in the coming days.
