With "1,2 or 3" to the correct answers

District Administrator Dr Theophil Gallo also continued the "District Administrator visits schools" series at the Siebenpfeiffer School, the special school for learning in Homburg. He was warmly welcomed by headmistress Ulrike Steitz-Pordzik and pupils from Years 1 to 7 and their teachers, who met the district administrator in two groups. With their straightforward questions such as "What do you like most about your job?", "Do you notice when accidents happen?" or "How does the money get to the school?", the younger pupils also showed great interest in the man who, as the school authority, is responsible for the construction, maintenance and administration of the school. They demonstrated that they had already dealt with this responsibility by showing a short film in which they thanked the district administrator for various purchases and construction measures around their school. With the video, they were of course also able to give the district administrator one or two suggestions for improvement to take back to the office. "I think it's exemplary when the pupils walk through their school with their eyes open and recognise where something is being created and, ultimately, what is lacking," praised Dr Gallo after he was able to reflect on the school facilities from the perspective of those who visit them every day.

The second group also came up with something unusual this morning. The re-enacted classic quiz show "1,2 or 3" was first and foremost a lot of fun, even though the questions were quite challenging, as the participants - whether district administrator or pupils - sometimes changed positions at the last second. In the end, the correct answer could always be found to questions such as "When was the Hambach Festival?", "Who was the first district administrator?", "What is the youth word of the year 2023?" or "In which year was the online game 'Fortnite' released?".

The District Administrator was delighted: "I am very pleased that the pupils and teachers have prepared so imaginatively for my visit. The visit not only showed me how well the money that the district invests in its schools is invested, but also how multifaceted a school community can be." His thanks also went to Vadim Fertenko, who did not hide his talent for painting and delighted the district administrator with a self-painted picture of Philipp Jakob Siebenpfeiffer in front of Hambach Castle.
