Thanks to the police forces in the Saarpfalz district

District Administrator Dr Theophil Gallo visited the Homburg and
St. Ingbert

Shortly before the holidays, District Administrator Dr Theophil Gallo took time out for his traditional Christmas visit to the police. There was a warm welcome at both the Homburg police station with the deputy head of the station, Chief Superintendent Gernot Scheller, and at the St. Ingbert police station with the deputy head of the station, Chief Superintendent Sabrina Nesseler.

At the end of the year, the district administrator likes to meet there to catch up on developments and events of the past year, but above all to say thank you. The District Administrator had already sent a small gift for every police officer who performs their duties in the Saarpfalz district.

He emphasised: "We can rely on the police 24 hours a day, all year round. Police officers work for the safety and well-being of the population, for our personal protection - we should always remember that. They therefore risk their lives to save the lives of others - just like the emergency services of other emergency services, who all deserve our utmost respect and recognition. We are called upon to show consideration for them and not hinder their work. Or even worse: according to the Federal Criminal Police Office, there were more acts of violence against police officers last year than ever before. That shocks me and saddens me. It must be the goal of our liberal society and politicians alike to initiate a turnaround here. That would also be my wish for the new year. First of all, however, I wish all police and emergency services personnel that they can spend a few peaceful hours with their families over the festive period despite their working hours. Thank you for being there for the people of the Saarpfalz district."
