Publications of the circle

The Saarpfalz district has been publishing this magazine of a very special format since 1983. It is neither the layout nor the content that makes it so special - it is its colourful mix of authors and their diverse views on historical topics relating to the Saarpfalz, because the circle of now over 200 authors is not made up exclusively of experts, but of a broad spectrum of society. This gives the inhabitants of the Saarpfalz district in particular the opportunity to make their own contribution to the historical reappraisal of their homeland. However, renowned academics also regularly publish articles in the journal. In 2021, the magazine was given a new look in order to be able to convey the topics even more vividly to the readership in a new format, in colour and divided into sections.

The Saarpfalz Yearbook has been published every year in the run-up to Christmas since 2005. It contains interesting and exciting articles on a wide range of topics. With their contributions, numerous authors help to depict the life, cultural peculiarities, landscape, nature and history of our region and provide readers with a wealth of inspiration and information about the Saarpfalz district. Poetry and dialect are also integral parts of the popular almanac, which always comprises over 200 pages and is richly illustrated. The cover always features attractions in the Saarpfalz region, photographed from unusual angles.
