Climate and health
Climatic changes and extreme weather events such as heat, drought and heavy rainfall are also occurring more frequently or are more pronounced in the Saarpfalz district. Severe and prolonged heat in particular leads to a significant strain on the human organism and therefore poses a high risk to physical health. The spread of infectious diseases and their carriers as well as potentially allergy-causing plants and animals is also influenced by climate change. To protect health, we are therefore pushing ahead with the development and implementation of measures for targeted information and prevention.
