The public health department

The Saarpfalz district health authority promotes and protects the health of the population.

Health concerns us all: It is the most important asset, which is priceless. In order to protect and preserve this asset, we - as the Saarpfalz district health authority - are the first point of contact for all citizens in our seven towns and municipalities when it comes to health issues.

Our area of responsibility is very diverse: from "A" such as medical examinations, "G" such as yellow fever vaccinations, "S" such as addiction prevention to "Z" such as dental examinations for children and adolescents. The Public Health Service Act (ÖGDG) regulates our daily tasks, such as the monitoring of medical facilities, schools and kindergartens as well as drinking water facilities.
