Lower building supervision
The Lower Building Supervisory Authority must ensure that all public law regulations and the orders issued on the basis of these regulations are complied with during the construction, modification, change of use, demolition and maintenance of building structures and facilities.
As a special police authority, it must fulfil the tasks assigned to it by the legislator and take all measures to avert dangers to the general public or individuals that may arise as a result of non-compliance with building regulations.
In the performance of their duties, the employees of the Lower Building Supervisory Authority are authorised, among other things, to enter properties and buildings. The Lower Building Supervisory Authority is responsible for the towns of Bexbach and Blieskastel as well as for the municipalities of Gersheim, Kirkel and Mandelbachtal.
The district town of Homburg ([email protected]) and the medium-sized town of St. Ingbert ([email protected]) have their own building supervisory authorities.
