Information on our major construction projects at the school

  • New canteen building

Meals and afternoon supervision at the school were provided in the pavilion built specifically for this purpose in 2004. The computer workroom (media centre) on the ground floor of the pavilion had to be closed down over the years to meet demand. As children and teachers who did not take advantage of the afternoon supervision also used the cafeteria's meals, there was a permanent lack of space here. The classrooms on the first floor of the pavilion were also not available for afternoon lessons, as homework supervision took place here. As the area to be built on the site was almost completely exhausted and the schoolyard was not to lose its typical character and trees, the site of the caretaker's house was chosen as the construction site for a new building, which resulted in its demolition.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the extension/new building took place on 22 May 2017. completion 2019

    2.8 million €

  • Renovation of flat roof extension

Originally, the extension was to be demolished as part of the new canteen construction project, but it turned out that the loss of the rooms could only be temporarily compensated for in view of the school's four classes.

Due to major water damage and subsequent investigations, it became clear that the extension had to undergo a core renovation.

After extensive demolition work, the roof and the exterior façade, including the thermal insulation composite system, were renewed. This also includes the windows with triple glazing. The school community can also feel comfortable inside again thanks to improved sound insulation and LED lighting. The rooms were also equipped with interactive boards as part of the digitalisation process.
