Kirkel Castle and surroundings
Measure according to § 16d SGB II
Kirkel Castle is a landmark of the region and represents an anchor point of regional solidarity. In consultation and co-operation with the municipality of Kirkel, the Kirkeler Burg Förderkreis e.V. and the Heimat- und Verkehrsverein Kirkel e.V., work is carried out there to preserve the historical medieval identity. Activities on the castle grounds, support for archaeological work at the castle, help with the preparation of educational museum workshops and the implementation of other exciting local projects have made AGH Burg Kirkel und Umgebung a reliable and long-standing partner in Kirkel.
